Q: I am going to carry out a house
construction project. Who should I talk to for information?
A: The Planning dept. (5237106,
5237107, 5237116, 5237117) and do this in the earliest stage of your
development project!
Q: How do I find out what Elmar's terms for connection to the power
grid are?
A: When you complete the
application form at one of our offices, you will receive, free of
charge, a booklet with the terms for connection. Free additional
copies are available at our offices. View the connection terms here.
Q: My street is so dark, there are no streetlights! Can't Elmar put
some poles with streetlights?
A: No. You should send a written
petition to the relevant Minister and a copy of this to DTI.
Q: What do I have to do if I want a lamppost removed that is on or
near my yard?
A: Call Planning.
Q: Can I put signs, flags, a basketball hoop or other things on a
pole?
A: Absolutely not! It is
prohibited by law and all foreign objects attached to our poles will
be taken off.
Q: There was a power outage in my neighborhood and my fridge is
broken because of this. Will Elmar buy me a new one?
A: No. According to our connection
terms, we are not responsible for possible damages as a consequence
of a power outage.
