Unfortunately, events that are out of our control do take place. Rain accompanied by nasty lightning. Long dry periods with high winds carrying lots of dust. Trees touching or falling on power lines. Cars crashing into our poles. A nosy iguana or rat.

When such incidents cause outages, regretfully, we cannot restore everyone's power all at the same time. In any outage situation, as we are sure you understand, our top priority is to restore power first to crucial services such as hospitals and emergency departments. Since tourism is the biggest source of income of Aruba's economy, the hotels are also on top of our list. After that, we try to restore service to as many people as possible in the shortest time.
