Building a House

• Contact an Certified Electrician to conduct a Construction Meter Inspection
• The parcel must comply with DTI regulations and ELMAR requirements before the construction meter is installed
• The Certified Electrician must submit a request via the CE Portal (electrician.elmar.aw)
• After approval, you receive the Construction Meter Inspection Card
• Apply for a Construction Meter
• The customer request can be submitted via email at customerservice@elmar.aw or at ELMAR branches

Buying a House

• When relocating to a new address, you are required to cancel the contract associated with your location and initiate a new contract for your new residence.
• Check the property to see if an existing meter has been previously installed.
• Request name transfer for the meter or apply for a new meter
• The customer request can be submitted via email at customerservice@elmar.aw or at ELMAR branches

Renting a Home

• When relocating to a new address, you are required to cancel the contract associated with your location and initiate a new contract for your new residence.
• You must prove you are authorized to reside at the address with a signed authorization letter
• Request name transfer for the meter or apply for a new meter
• The customer request can be submitted via email at customerservice@elmar.aw or at ELMAR branches
• The owner will need to co-sign the application form
