1. Infrastructure Contribution - For Large Developments
For high-demand projects or developments that require a network extension, a one-time contribution may be required. This contribution helps fund the expansion of our distribution network to support your specific energy needs.
This may include:
- Laying new medium- and low-voltage cables
- Installing switchgear and protective equipment
- Engineering, planning, and grid design work
A formal contract will be established before any construction begins to ensure agreement on responsibilities, costs, and the scope of work.
Note: this contribution is separate from standard connection fees and applies only when grid expansion is necessary.
2. Standard Connection Fee - For All New Connections
Whether you are connecting a home, construction site, or business, a standard connection fee will apply. This fee covers the labor and materials required to connect your premises to ELMAR's existing infrastructure.
Fee is determined by:
- The requested capacity (e.g., single-phase or three-phase service)
- The type of connection (residential, commercial, or construction meter)
- The distance from the nearest distribution point
3. Security Deposit - For Parceling (Subdivision) Projects
In larger subdivision projects, ELMAR may pre-install underground cables to allow developers to proceed with civil works such as curbing and roads. In these cases, a security deposit may be requested to protect ELMAR's infrastructure prior to active electrical use.
Key considerations:
- The deposit is not tied to electricity usage
- It protects against damage or theft before properties are fully connected
- Applies only when cables have already been installed and are in place
Deposit Refund Eligibility:
- All cables are fully operational
- No damages or losses are identified during inspection
- The infrastructure is formally accepted by N.V. ELMAR
