At ELMAR, we believe in the importance of offering different billing options tailored to each customer's preference. 

Every month, you receive your electricity bill, where you can see your energy usage, charges, and account balance. In this section, you will find the different payment methods available to easily and securely pay your bill.

  5. Pay.aw (SmartUp prepaid meter customers only)

At ELMAR, we offer a variety of convenient and secure payment options to suit your needs.

Personal payment locations

The following locations are available for making personal payments, for your convenience.

  • N.V. ELMAR offices located in Oranjestad, Hato and San Nicolas (temporarily closed due to renovation)
  • Government office (hulpbestuurskantoor HBK); located in San Nicolas
  • Multi-functional Accomodations (MFA); located in Savaneta, Santa Cruz, Paradera and Noord
  • Commercial banks

Personal payments requirements

To ensure a smooth payment process, please note the following requirements when paying your energy and water statement(s) at N.V. ELMAR branches:

  • Customers are kindly requested to present their most recent bill at the time of payment
  • If your bill is not accessible, please have your account number and the amount due on hand
  • Cash payments are accepted in both Aruban florins (AWG) and U.S. Dollars (USD), using and exchange rate of 1 USD = 1,75 AWG
  • Local debit card payments are also accepted
  • N.V. ELMAR does not accept personal and commercial checks as per 23rd of April 2018
  • N.V. ELMAR does not accept credit cards

Bank Standing order

Benefit from our complimentary automatic draft program. N.V. ELMAR will automatically debit your bank account on the designated bill due date each month.

To apply, please complete the standing order application form and provide a copy of valid identification. We also kindly ask that you bring your bank statement showing your account number.

Online bank transfers or bill payments

You can easily pay your energy bill from the comfort of your home or office through your local bank.

When making online bank transfers or bill payments, please ensure that your N.V. ELMAR account number is correctly formatted by including your location number followed by your customer number, separated by a dash. For example: 123456 - 1234567
